2018 Share the Love Event
On December 11, 2015 at the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce holiday luncheon, Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels was the recipient of a $5000 donation from Eastwick College founder Tom Eastwick. PVMOW Executive Director, Jeanne Martin (pictured at the left in red) stands with other donation recipients and Tom Eastwick, (center). Meals on Wheels has participated in the Subaru Share the Love Event since its inception in 2008. Subaru and its retailers support Meals on Wheels because it’s part of their commitment—to leaving the world a better place than they found it through the core values of trust and love. Through Meals on Wheels America, the Subaru Share the Love Event has helped deliver nearly two million meals to America’s seniors.

An anonymous donor arranged for over 100 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to be delivered to Meals on Wheels North Jersey! We are thrilled and excited to begin delivering these familiar treats to our clients.
Meals on Wheels North Jersey was thrilled to partner with the Bergen County Players, CareOne and TD Bank for a second year for their annual Theater Night fundraiser. This year's benefit performance was Spamalot, the musical comedy adapted from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It was another great night of musical theater with proceeds going directly to provide nutritious meals to Bergen County seniors in need.
Woodcliff Middle School donates a truckload of Blizzard Boxes!
Meals on Wheels North Jersey hosted their2nd Annual Senior Bear Hugs Project. Donations of brand new Teddy bears were collected from PVMOW volunteers and from others throughout the community. The bears were hand delivered to some lucky clients just in time for Valentine's Day. The clients LOVED receiving their bears and the look on their faces was priceless. We cannot wait for next year!
PASCACK VALLEY MEALS ON WHEELS CELEBRATES THE ROARING 20'S
On Friday, October 10th, PVMoW held their annual gala fundraiser. Held at the Ridgewood Country club and honoring Westwood Mayor, John Birkner, the evening was filled with food, flappers and live jazz. Politicians, business owners, families and friends gathered to lend their support to the organization, who for 42 years, has been dedicated to feeding hungry senior citizens in northern Bergen County.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS PARADE DECEMBER 5TH
On Saturday, December 5th, Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels took part in Westwood's annual "Home for the Holidays" Parade. The PVMOW team drove the parade route in a beautiful new Subaru courtesy of Town Motors Subaru as part of their partnership in Subaru's annual SHARE THE LOVE EVENT!

Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels will once again be partnering up with Town Motors Subaru for the annual SHARE THE LOVE EVENT sponsored by Subaru of America! From November 20th through January 2nd, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the purchaser's choice of participating charities (including PVMOW!). Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels is happy to have the support of Town Motors again this year and looks forward to a successful event!

Meals on Wheels North Jersey was able to partner for the third year in a row with the Bergen County Players, CareOne, Oritani Bank, Unity Bank and Hackensack Meridian Health for their annual Theater Night fundraiser. This year's benefit performance was The Mystery of Edwin Drood, a murder-mystery-within-a-musical.
Meals on Wheels North Jersey is now offering Mental Health First Aid certified training for its volunteers. MHFA is a nationally recognized 8-hour course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health crisis.
Each participant will learn to identify warning signs in those experiencing depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders.
Meals on Wheels Executive Director, Jeanne Martin (lower left), met with members of local law enforcement, government officials, business owners and representatives from the Westwood For All Ages initiative over breakfast on March 3rd at the Iron Horse Restaurant in Westwood. The group discussed senior hunger and isolation issues that face Bergen County homebound seniors and how they can utilize shared services to promote awareness and provide resources to those in most need.
The Woodcliff Middle School in Woodcliff Lake, NJ assembled, wrapped and donated more than 70 Blizzard Boxes for the senior clients of Meals on Wheels North Jersey. Blizzard Boxes are used to provide each client with a supply of shelf-stable meals for days when the weather is too severe to send our volunteers out on the road to make deliveries. They provide peace of mind for our clients and their families and are an important part of our services. THANK YOU to all of the students and faculty that participated in this project! A big thank you too, to the janitorial staff from WMS for making the delivery to us!

It was a great night of musical theater with proceeds going directly to support Meals on Wheels' ongoing efforts to provide nutritious meals to Bergen County seniors in need.
